New international mobility programs for Omsk SAU teachers, graduates and postgraduates
On March 11, the Intercultural Student Center coordinators Yana Leven and Denis Serebrennikov held a presentation of new international programs suitable for graduates and postgraduates of Omsk State Agrarian University.
19 undergraduate students and a number of graduates and postgraduates attented the meeting. It's notable that even first- and second-year undergraduates visited the Center to understand what their prospects are and how they can get involved into international activities since their very beginning of studying.
The programs that are open for applications at the moment are:
Erasmus+ KA1 Mobility for Individuals. 1st year Master's degree students studying Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine have a great opportunity to spend 1 semester at one of the leading European agrarian universities, which is Estonian University of Life Sciences.
Call for applications is opened till March 2.
National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic.
This program allows undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates to pass a semester-long course in a Slovakian university. Those willing to go there next fall can already submit application forms, assisted by Omsk SAU International Relations Department employees. The application process for the scholarship will be open until April 30.
Fulbright Visiting Graduate Student Program. Fulbright is an old and famous international mobility program for Master's degree students and postgraduates.
Motivated and talented candidates who meet all the requirements can study or have an internship at any university, library, or a state archives of the US for 1 year. The program is suitable for 4th year undergraduate students, graduates and postgraduates. Applications are submitted annually till 15th of May.
Global Korea Scholarship - National Scholarship of the Republic of Korea.
The scholarship includes for 3 or 4 years of training at any Korean university, leading to a diploma or academic degree. Graduates of Russian HEIs who are younger than 40 and those who will get their Bachelor's, Master's or Specialists's degree before August 31st, 2021 are eligible for this program.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD). The program, funded by the EU, offers international students to pass 1 or 2 year-long graduate courses in leading HEIs of Europe. The field of study doesn't matter, and graduates will get a European diploma recognized worldwide.
Graduate School Scholarship Programme, DAAD
This scholarship is for those who want to enroll as a postgraduate student into one of German state universities.
Research Scholarships - short-term DAAD scholarships. This scholarship covers short-term visits of postgraduates, young scientists and PostDocs to Germany. They can spend from 1 to 6 months in order to make a research project implemented as part of their Candidate of Science degree thesis.
The call for applications begins twice a year (in the beginning of summer, and in the end of fall).
Aset Madiev, an Omsk SAU postgraduate student, shared his experience in preparing and submitting documents for different scholarships, including Fulbright.
Oksana Kozlova, Head of the International Relations Department, held an additional meeting with university teachers and told them about peculiarities of applying for DAAD and Slovakian National Scholarship that can let them have a short-term research internship abroad.
