Omsk SAU Vice-rector participated in a meeting with representatives of Uzbekistan Consulate General

Invited by the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk Region, Omsk SAU Vice-rector for research Yuriy Novikov participated in the meeting with the Republic of Uzbekistan representatives. During the discussion that held place on 9th of March, they negotiated terms of bilateral cooperation.

Minister of economy of the Omsk Region Anna Negoduiko represented Omsk delegates and described the current collaboration between the region and Uzbekistan.

Timur Rakhmanov, acting General Consul General of Uzbekistan, greeted the participants and named the focal goals for cooperation, one of which was scientific and educational cooperation.

Yuriy Novikov told about cooperation agreements between Omsk SAU and Uzbekistan universities, events that Uzbek students can take part in, new areas for cooperation, and admission opportunities for Uzbek citizens.

President of Omsk Regional Public Organization «Uzbek Association» Bakhrombek Yusupov offered to hold several additional meetings to discuss mutually profitable projects and cooperation in more details.

On a regional level, such interaction encourages quicker internationalization of HEIs, and it helps extend cooperation in the field of science and technologies in the context of the modern educational services market.
