The event was attended by students of the Faculty of Land Management and Agrotechnological Faculty.
Our foreign guests Lauranne Gemise from Guadeloupe, Milica Aleksić from Serbia, Anna Liova from Slovakia and Souad Naffati from France told about the culture and Easter traditions of their countries. Student Reimo Vellemaa shared the traditions of celebrating Easter in Estonia in his video message. During the presentations, foreign students told about the unique customs of celebrating Easter in their countries, as well as about the customs that are also inherent in Russia.
The whole process of communication was in English, which did not prevent the students of Omsk SAU from getting acquainted with the Easter traditions and culture of other countries. A second-year Master student of the Agrotechnological Faculty Anna Krempa told foreign students about the traditions of Russian Easter. The foreign guests were shown a traditional Russian Easter bread (kulich) and wreaths of birch and willow twigs, prepared in advance for the master class.
In the second part, first-year students of the Faculty of Land Management made presentations about the peculiarities of Easter celebrations in other countries of the world.
Everyone agreed that, despite cultural differences, the general outline of Easter remains unchanged – it is a bright family holiday. Its "Intercultural" and main symbols are willow twigs or palm leaves, painted eggs and Easter bread.
In the final part of the event "Easter in the World", the participants were able to try their hands at applied art during the master class on decorating Easter wreaths.
