Omsk State Agrarian University moved up in the ranking of most sought after universities

The project "Social Navigator" developed by the international news agency "Russia Today" has made the ranking of the most popular higher education institutions in Russia according to 2019 results. Just as in 2018, 9 universities from the Omsk region participated in the ranking.

Omsk SAU took the 15th place among the country's agrarian HEIs, rising by 9 positions over the year. Omsk SAU is more in-demand than 2 agrarian universities located in Moscow.

Three key indicators were taken into account when compiling the ranking:

  • citation index;
  • income from commercialization of intellectual property;
  • percentage of graduates who get a job referral.

In 2019, the study involved 436 universities, which were grouped by training areas: сlassical universities, engineering universities (technical universities), agricultural universities, management universities (Economics, Finance, Law), universities for the humanities (pedagogical, philological), and medical universities.

In 2019, students of agricultural HEIs are still the most sought-after on the labor market. On average, 72% of them get a job referral.
