As part of the event, a laboratory session on “Detecting Milk Adulteration” was held by Igor V. Yakushkin, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences and Associate Professor, together with Assistant Anastasia E. Kokh.
The students had a unique opportunity to learn about the profession of a veterinary and sanitary doctor and the areas under their supervision, such as food products of animal origin. They also gained insights into the causes and methods of milk adulteration, which helped them better understand the importance and responsibility that come with this career. During the laboratory session, the students learned how to detect the presence of water, starch, and soda in milk, applying their newly acquired knowledge in practice.
This experience not only broadened their horizons but also gave them the chance to feel like real researchers. In addition, the students received information about admission requirements for Omsk State Agrarian University, which could become an important step toward their future careers in veterinary science.
