Educational and Experimental Farm of the Omsk State Agrarian University

1. General information

Educational and experimental farm (Uchkhoz) was founded on December 1st, 2014 by the decision of the Academic Council of Omsk State Agrarian University.

The educational and experimental farm is a base for the implementation of the educational, scientific and production plan for practical training of students and for conducting research work of the University.

2. The structure of the educational and experimental farm:

3. Fields of activity of the educational and experimental farm:

  • allowing all students to study breeds, varieties, modern agriculture technologies, effective forms of management, and to effectively pass industrial training programs.
  • creating the base for implementing innovative processes in the educational activities of the University, and for introducing the results of research work of students and University staff to agricultural production processes.
  • creating the base for effective farming in terms of high level of organization and technology used; conducting scientific research in order to obtain new types of products (varieties, breeds, technologies, etc.) with a high economic effect, actively introducing the latest achievements to production processes.
  • effectively using the scientific and technical potential of the high school to solve the priority tasks of production and for socio-economic transformation.
  • promoting the training of qualified specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel at the University using the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress.
  • improving the quality of education through providing better connection between theory and practice, and by giving students practical skills and the ability to effectively use agricultural machinery in real conditions.

4. The total square of land assigned to the educational and experimental farm is 1063 hectares.
