1. Creative life in Omsk SAU
Student life in Omsk SAU is multifaceted and interesting. Enthusiastic students manage not only to study well, but also to develop themselves in other directions. Some students sing or dance, or even do both. With such activities they are helped by art groups of Omsk SAU, organized on the basis of the Student Cultural Center. Art groups include the pop vocal studio “Autograph”, the modern dance group “Vspyshka”, the street dance group “Team spirit”, the academic choir and others.
Students take an active part in cultural events of various levels: university, city, regional, national and international.
All the events are held creatively, funny and provocatively, every time in a new way. Every student of Omsk SAU can participate in the events organization.
2. Sport life in Omsk SAU
Sports and Recreation Club provides an opportunity to combine studying with the improvement of sportsmanship or to start a sports career by entering the University.
On Campus №1 there is a stadium with a football field and a 400 meter run track; street basketball and volleyball courts; a sports complex including a games room, a cardio-training room, a gym, a wrestling room and a ski base.
On the basis of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology (Campus №2) there is a multidisciplinary sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool, two game rooms, a room for martial arts and strength sports, a separate room for classes in physical therapy groups. In addition to its sports base, Omsk SAU actively uses sports facilities in the city of Omsk, such as the Athletics Arena “Siberian Oil Worker”, Budgetary Educational Institution of the Omsk region of Additional Education “Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve” №. 5.
Students of the University’s national teams take an active part in competitions at various levels: university, city, regional, national and international. Participation in the All-Russian Universiade of the Ministry of Agriculture has become a traditional competition for University athletes. Every year, athletes of Omsk SAU qualify for obtaining I senior categories, Candidate Master of Sports and Master of Sports of Russia.
During the year, about 3,500 students are involved in sports as participants, organizers and judges in various sports.
Public organizations of Omsk SAU
Student self-government bodies are actively functioning at the University (student councils, Volunteer Center, student teams, trade union organizations, student activists of Cultural Center; student sports club “Sapsan”, etc.). University students are part of the regional branches of all-Russian youth public organizations: Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia, Russian Union of Rural Youth; Association of Volunteer Centers, Omsk Regional Student Team, Union of Volunteers of Russia.
Today, the student movement is gaining momentum. Students actively participate in all-Russian forums and some international forums, schools, competitions, as a result of which they increase managerial, organizational, leadership and professional competencies.
Omsk SAU is an endless field of opportunities where everyone can find like-minded people, demonstrate their talents and capabilities, make friends with physical education and sports, create their own project and learn how to manage it, work in a team and build managerial trajectories that allow you to see the embodiment of the most daring ideas!
