The events were led by Professor I.A. Ivkova; Associate Professors I.V. Yakushkin, E.V. Kornienko, and A.Yu. Nadtochiy; Senior Lecturer A.K. Berdova; and Assistants I.G. Chetvergova and A.E. Kokh.
During the meetings, school students were introduced to the university’s programs and specialties, the advantages and career prospects of each direction, and the practical aspects of working in veterinary and related fields. Lecturers shared professional experience, described the specifics of various professions, and answered numerous questions from students. Special attention was paid to specialties in demand on today’s labor market.
The meetings were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and listened with great interest to the lecturers’ presentations. These meetings became a true bridge between theory and practice, allowing high school students to explore different professions, discuss their interests and ambitions, and ask how to choose a career path aligned with their passions and abilities.
The lecturers, drawing on their extensive knowledge and experience, emphasized the importance of practical training, internships, and the development of professional competencies. They also highlighted key factors influencing career choice, such as labor market demand, technological development, and the need for lifelong learning. Following the meetings, many school students expressed their interest in enrolling at Omsk SAU to pursue one of the presented professions. They received informational materials and were invited to Open Days and other events held at the university.
Career guidance meetings play a vital role in helping school students make informed choices about their future professions and successfully realize their potential.
