The festive atmosphere could already be felt in the foyer: everyone could take photos at the beautiful photo zone “Autumn Arch of Omsk SAU” and enjoy the faculty exhibition.
The event brought together the best representatives of the agricultural sector of the Omsk region, whose scientific, educational, and other achievements have been recognized with numerous honors—titles, certificates, and letters of gratitude. Attendees included representatives of government authorities, leaders of major agro-industrial enterprises in the region, Omsk SAU partners, veterans, and simply good friends.
Omsk SAU is home to outstanding people who year after year prove their professionalism with high distinctions. As part of the 7th Professorial Forum “Education, Science, Family — the Foundation of Russia’s Development”, laureates of the national awards of the Russian Professorial Assembly “Professor of the Year” were honored: In the category “Economic Sciences” — Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Land Management Yuri Mikhailovich Rogatnev; In the category “Veterinary Sciences” for the Siberian Federal District — Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor of the Department of Anatomy and Histology, Physiology and Pathological Anatomy Gennady Alekseevich Khonin.

Students of Omsk SAU became prize-winners in the finals of the National Technological Strategy Championship “Professionals of the Future” in the field of agronomic process development, “Agro Cup-2024,” where participants from across the country demonstrated their knowledge and presented innovative solutions in agriculture.
Recently, our students returned from the Anniversary All-Russian Student Teams Gathering, dedicated to the 65th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the organization’s founding. As part of the program, they took part in the All-Russian Professional Skills Contest for Student Teams “Work is Cool” in the category of agricultural teams — and became winners.
Members of the student teams also participated in the All-Russian Gathering of Specialized Student Teams of Agricultural Universities of Russia, where the results of the work semester were summarized. Prize-winners of the All-Russian Contest of Agricultural Teams of Universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia in 2024 included the teams “Zemfakovets,” “Faun,” “Niva,” and “Ultramarin.”

To foster interest in agricultural education starting from school, Omsk SAU has opened 63 “agro-classes”, which serve as a connecting link in this process. For the fourth time, the university hosted the Regional Gathering of Agro-Class Students, which brings together schoolchildren from the Omsk and Novosibirsk Oblast and is aimed at preserving traditions, raising the prestige, and increasing the social significance of agricultural professions.
Omsk State Agrarian University has trained more than 120,000 specialists who work in key areas of agro-industrial production, as well as in regional and federal government bodies of the country. Today, our partners and alumni head companies that have become bases for student internships, teacher training placements, scientific research, and the development of educational programs.
