Educational Seminar "State Support for Graduates Adapting to the Labor Market"

On January 16, Omsk State Agrarian University hosted a training seminar titled "Government Support for Graduates During Their Adaptation to the Labor Market," organized by the university's Center for Career Guidance and Employment.

The event was attended by university staff responsible for graduate employment and representatives from regional authorities. Among the guests were Nadezhda Yuryevna Beloglazova, Chief Specialist of the Department of Labor Resources and Personnel Management at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry; Antonina Romanovna Vasilyeva, First Deputy Director of the Omsk Region Career Center; specialists from the Department of Professional Adaptation and Career Development of the "Regional Center for Career Guidance," Tatyana Aleksandrovna Kez and Elena Aleksandrovna Panyutich; and staff from the Center for Career Guidance and Employment.

Antonina Romanovna highlighted activities led by the Career Center, including the "Springboard" project and the All-Russian "Work in Russia: A Time of Opportunities" job fair. She explained the possibility of internships and outlined their conditions. She also presented a list of events organized by the Career Center for students and graduates and explained the mechanism for their implementation with the university. Additionally, she presented opportunities for free supplementary education.

Nadezhda Yuryevna spoke about the government support measures provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry of the Omsk Region. These measures aim to develop the workforce potential in the agricultural sector and include subsidies for employers (to cover internships or temporary employment for students and payments under targeted training agreements), stipends for young professionals, and subsidies for employee training.

Tatyana Alexandrovna introduced the participants to several projects by the "Regional Center for Career Guidance", including "The Region's Economy in the Hands of the Younger Generation", "Your Region. Your Career. Your Future", "Career Development Center", "Limited Opportunities – Unlimited Choices", "Defense Industry Complex: Experience. Perspective. Career", "The Author of Your Own Life", and "The Basics of Career Guidance and Psychological Support."
She also detailed the events conducted by the center for university students and graduates. These activities and games help participants define their skill levels, identify personal and professional strengths, and plan their future careers. They also allow graduates to master skills in self-presentation, resume writing, and communication; develop organizational abilities; thereby enabling them to become competitive job seekers in the labor market.

In the final part of the seminar, Tatyana Yuryevna Stepanova, Deputy Director of the Center for Career Guidance and Employment, discussed the implementation of the "Competition-Auction" project. She outlined tasks for the seminar participants, emphasizing the importance of creating platforms for interaction between students and employers. Together with the participants, she also established a timeline and formats for events designed to inform students and graduates about the available government support measures.
