Excursion to the "Reaktor" Auto Complex as part of the course "Introduction to the Specialty" and further employment of students

On November 7, students from the Faculty of Technical Service in the Agro-Industrial Complex, majoring in 23.03.03 Operation of Transport and Technological Machines and Complexes, group B-11 ETTM, under the guidance of A.A Luchinovich, the person responsible for employment, visited the "Reaktor" Auto Complex.

The tour of the enterprise was conducted by the head of the personnel service Margarita Aleksandrovna Martynova. She told about the history of the enterprise, which began its work in 2003. At that time, it was a store with a range consisting only of shock absorbers, and today it is a huge network with 26 branches in Omsk, Novosibirsk, Biysk, Tyumen, and St. Petersburg.

The students were shown the client waiting area with repair sections displayed on the screen. In the store, it is possible to search for a particular spare part by VIN number, and the practical significance of basic disciplines was demonstrated. For example, when searching for a spare part, a diagram appears, and the employee can find the necessary part using it. To perform these functions, competencies are required, which are developed in students during their university education.

During the tour, the students visited workshops: "Engine Repair," "Body Repair," "Oil Change," "Auto Electrical and Diagnostics," as well as "Tire Service" and "Car Wash." All specialists working at the enterprise have specialized education and, in the course of their work, simultaneously undergo various types of training to enhance their competencies.

As they passed through the workshops, the students had the opportunity to ask questions to specialists in various areas. The work of a fitter, mechanic, and master is very diverse, and the variety of car brands contributes to the development of specialists' skills to quickly identify and eliminate malfunctions.

At the end of the meeting, Margarita Aleksandrovna informed about the opportunities for practical training and internships and shared her experience of interviewing potential employees.
And, of course, she gave parting words:

"It is important to be a specialist in your profession, and therefore you will have to learn constantly."

Also, at the end of the excursion, Margarita Alexandrovna conducted a small survey, where the most attentive students received valuable prizes.

We express our great gratitude to the company for the opportunity to participate in the tour and for demonstrating the workplaces. This will allow us to understand the importance of the subjects being studied and, possibly, to start our professional activities alongside our education.
