The program of additional education "Digital finance for small and medium-sized businesses in the agri-food sector" will be implemented annually. Representatives of agribusiness of various forms of ownership, as well as individuals who run a private subsidiary farm or are just planning to build their business in agriculture are invited to master the program..

The relevance of the program is due to the ongoing digitalization of all spheres of our life. Digitalization of finance, on the one hand, increases their accessibility to the population (as a result, contributes to the development of financial inclusion), especially in rural areas. On the other hand, digital technologies can significantly reduce the cost of doing business by reducing the price of a financial digital transaction. If there is a lack of financial awareness and literacy of the population and business, this can lead to a worsening of the gap in the level and quality of life in rural areas. Thus, the additional education program will allow students to deepen their knowledge, develop financial skills and become more competitive.

This year, 35 students were enrolled in the additional education program. They are: heads of peasant farms, individual entrepreneurs, representatives of agri-food enterprises, as well as individuals who are still planning to engage in agribusiness.

The implementation of the additional education program will be carried out in a remote format using the electronic information and educational environment of the university and webinars.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Comission as part of the Jean Monnet Module 620032-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE "European practice of developing digital financial services is rural areas: knowledge and inclusion".
