The project is organized with the aim of creating conditions that ensure the preservation of health, maintenance of high performance, and immunity among the youth of the Omsk Oblast aged 16-35 through the popularization of proper nutrition principles, dissemination of knowledge on creating a complete and balanced diet, and rules for choosing safe and quality products by organizing and conducting events that promote a healthy lifestyle.
Project Objectives:
- To foster the need for proper nutrition among the youth of Omsk city and the Omsk Oblast aged 16-35 as an integral part of preserving and strengthening health;
- To develop healthy eating skills and food culture through a system of socially significant events;
- To build competencies in creating a complete and balanced diet;
- To enhance the creative abilities and horizons of youth in the Omsk region aged 16-35, along with their interests and cognitive activities.
The event took place in two stages:
Stage I - Online, from November 11 to 20 - viewing video lectures, completing a test assignment with 15 questions of varying difficulty related to proper nutrition principles, rules for creating a complete and balanced diet, and rules for choosing safe and quality food products. Preparation of a menu project for specified population categories: students, athletes, vegetarians (of choice).
Stage II - November 22, in-person - "Healthy Lifestyle Festival," during which participants learned about the processes involved in producing healthy food products, as well as principles for quickly and properly creating a complete and balanced diet. Students from higher education institutions and colleges in Omsk met at the "Scientific Café," where they participated in a master class on preparing a healthy breakfast and presented their dishes to an independent jury.
The participants demonstrated various variations of healthy breakfasts made from the same set of products. In collaborative activities, they showcased teamwork skills, creativity, and deepened their knowledge about the culture of consuming healthy food and principles of a healthy diet, as well as rules for choosing safe and quality food products.
To integrate healthy eating habits into everyday life, participants were offered a "Healthy Catering" buffet featuring dishes that care for the body.
A production cruise to the enterprises LLC "University of Thought Activity" (Yastro Group) and JSC "Lyubinsky MKK" contributed to summarizing knowledge about the components of food, skills in making independent decisions when choosing food products while planning personal diets, and introduced participants to the technological processes involved in producing healthy food products. All participants received memorable branded gifts.
