International Scientific Conference "Natural Resources in the history of regions"

On October 25, Evgenia Valeryevna Sokolova, Associate Professor of the Department of Agronomy and Agroengineering at the Tara Branch of the Omsk State Agrarian University, and Mikhail Alexandrovich Petrov, a specialist in educational and methodological work, a teacher at the Department of Vocational Education and Science, took part in the International Scientific Conference "Natural Resources in the History of Regions."

The purpose of the conference was to organize a discussion platform where representatives of various disciplines could discuss and present regional experience in the study and use of natural resources, the development of cooperation between universities, institutes of innovative development, scientific and educational organizations in the field of popularization of scientific knowledge about natural resources for society.

Evgenia Valeryevna and Mikhail Alexandrovich presented a report on the topic "The impact of natural resources on the settlement of the Omsk Irtysh region in the pre-revolutionary period", prepared as part of a study with the support of the Russian Science Foundation (Grant of the Russian Science Foundation No. 23-28-00891, https://rscf.ru/project/23-28-00891/ on the basis of the Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin").

Evgenia Valeryevna Sokolova:

"Our research allows us to identify the main directions of settlement of the territory, the vectors of formation of the rural settlement network of the modern Omsk region. We have studied a significant source base, including published and unpublished materials. The results of the study will be interesting and useful not only to the scientific community, but also to specialists who deal with issues of sustainable rural development. From this point of view, participation in scientific and practical conferences is an important part of the ongoing work."
