Meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of Omsk SAU

On October 4, the first meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the University was held in this academic year.

Natalya Nikolaevna Zharkova, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, opened the meeting. She welcomed the members of the Council and wished them fruitful work in the new academic year.

Then she introduced the new members of the Council of Young Scientists. From the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Ivan Vladimirovich Ogurnoi, assistant of the Department of Diagnostics, Internal Non-Communicable Diseases, Pharmacology, Surgery and Obstetrics, and from the Faculty of Economics - Irina Evgenievna Petrova, postgraduate student of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control joined the Council. Then, according to the agenda, the elections of the vice-chairman and executive secretary of the Council of Young Scientists were held. It was unanimously decided that Valentina Vasilievna Kosterova, a postgraduate student of the Department of Ecology, Nature Management and Biology of the Faculty of Agrochemistry, Soil Sciences, Ecology, Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Exploitation, would become the vice-chairman, and Ksenia Viktorovna Medanova, a senior lecturer of the Department of Land Management of the Faculty of Land Management, Candidate of Economic Sciences, would become the responsible secretary.

One of the issues on the agenda was the report of the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of Omsk SAU on the activities of the Council for the academic year 2022-2023. Natalya Nikolaevna Zharkova told about scientific activities of young scientists in the university, gave data on the composition of the Council, as well as reported on the activities for the last academic year. After hearing the report, the discussion was held in the last academic year. The discussion and approval of the work plan of the Council of Young Scientists in 2023-2024 academic year took place. The Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists characterized its main directions, listed the planned scientific events, in the work of which young scientists are expected to actively participate.

In the discussion part of the meeting, the Council members discussed the creation of a group of the Council of Young Scientists in the social network VKontakte, new formats of scientific events, raised the issue of a new moderator of the media project “Omsk SAU Science Café”. At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Council expressed her gratitude to all members of the Council for their fruitful work in 2022-2023 academic year and wished further productive activities in the new year.
