Meeting with specialists of Titan-Agro Ltd.

On November 6, another meeting was held with specialists of Titan-Agro Ltd. as part of the implementation of a research contract on the topic: “Analysis of the causes that led to the deterioration of herd immunity in animals and the decline of production indicators at the separate subdivision of Titan-Agro Ltd. — Petrovsky Pig Complex (Omsk Region, Omsk District, village of Petrovka).”

The working visit to the enterprise was attended by staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, Omsk SAU: Tatyana Vladimirovna Boyko, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Head of the Department of Diagnostics, Internal Non-Contagious Diseases, Pharmacology, Surgery, and Obstetrics; Maksim Vasilyevich Koshkarev, PhD in Veterinary Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, and Pathological Anatomy; Denis Alexandrovich Yakob, Assistant of the Department of Diagnostics, Internal Non-Contagious Diseases, Pharmacology, Surgery, and Obstetrics.

Purpose of the visit — to assess interim results of the treatment and preventive measures carried out at the Petrovsky Pig Complex in accordance with the research contract.

According to the technical assignment, the team conducted analysis of productivity and survival rates of pigs, examination of carcasses at the enterprise’s meat-processing plant, determination of pathological diagnoses, on the basis of which further preventive measures at the complex were adjusted.

The discussion of three-month interim results involved enterprise specialists: Evgeniy Alexandrovich Yeryomin, Director of Petrovsky Pig Complex, Titan-Agro Ltd., Ekaterina Igorevna Amiranashvili, Chief Technologist, Irina Anatolyevna Agaltsova, Chief Veterinarian.

Solving production challenges at the enterprise is a complex and responsible task requiring joint efforts of both industry specialists and scientists. The outcome directly depends on the professionalism of all team members and their ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the market economy. Despite visible interim progress, the main work still lies ahead.
