Omsk SAU — an attractive destination for foreign doctoral internships

This academic year has been one of the most fruitful in terms of attracting foreign interns. Our university has accepted eight PhD students from the Republic of Kazakhstan, and two more interns are expected to arrive in the summer.

The range of their scientific interests was wide — from agronomy and organic farming to economics, geodesy, and land management.

In November, a doctoral student of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Meyerbek Kuanyshbai Toktaruly, arrived at Omsk State Agrarian University for an internship in agronomy. His scientific supervisor was Professor of the Department of Agronomy, Breeding and Seed Production of the Agrotechnological Faculty, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Shamanin V. P.

Later, Kalin Arman Kabdrakhmanuly, a doctoral student of Ualikhanov University, arrived for an internship in the same field. The head of the scientific internship was Professor of the Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Plant Protection, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Kazydub N. G.

In April and May, our university was visited by six foreign doctoral students at once: Saparova Dana Askhatovna from Turan-Astana University arrived for a scientific internship in the direction of "Economics" to the professor of the Department of Management and Marketing, Doctor of Economics, Stukach V. F. Alpyspaeva Zhuldyz Askarovna from S. Seifulin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University completed an internship in geodesy, supervised by Associate Professor of the Department of Geodesy and Remote Sensing, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Parkhomenko N. A. Kulyntai Fariza Kambarkyzy from the S. Seifulin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University interned with Associate Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science, Candidate of Biological Sciences Shayakhmetov M. R.

The internship was in the field of Land Management.

Nurpeisov Madi Nuanovich from S. Seifulin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University arrived to have internship supervised by Associate Professor of the Department of Land Management, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Fillippova T. A. 

Aitkhozhin Serik Kanatovich and Nurpeisov Daniyar Nurlanovich from S. Seifulin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University came to train in the field of organic farming with Professor of the Department of Agronomy, Breeding and Seed Production of the Faculty of Agrotechnology, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Shamanin V. P.

Foreign young scientists actively participated in scientific events of Omsk State Agrarian University (conferences and seminars), where they shared the results of their research, and also discussed further plans for cooperation in various research areas.

We believe that the internship at our university will allow young scientists to improve their professional skills, marking a significant milestone in becoming highly qualified specialists. International scientific mobility at Omsk State Agrarian University plays an important role in strengthening cross-border cooperation with Kazakhstan, and promoting domestic education and science abroad.
