It is worth noting that the University of Adamas became a partner of the Omsk State Agrarian University only this year, but we have already built good relations. This is not the first conference that we organize together. Earlier, our students spoke at a conference that addressed the COVID-19 pandemic and students' vision of future after it. The purpose of the new conference was to tell what competencies modern graduates should have in order to successfully get a job.
The conference began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the School of Business and Economics of Adamas University, Professor Naveen Das, and the Vice-Rector for Research of Omsk State Agrarian University, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Yu. I. Novikov.
Presentations on the international activities of both universities were made by the Director of the International Department of Adamas University Professor Parimal Chandra Biswas and the Head of the International Relations Department, Doctor of Economic Sciences gave their speech. Dinar Baetova, Omsk SAU Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control, made a presentation on the experience of implementing the Jean Monnet Module.
The second session of the conference was started by Anastasia Zagorenko, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Economics, with a presentation on the topic “Legal regulation of digital finance in Europe and Russia”. Elizaveta Aichanova, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Economics, spoke about the transformations that accounting has undergone in the context of digitalization of the financial sector. Ksenia Kamyshova, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Technical Service in the Agro-Industrial Complex, told about digital technologies used in the agro-industry. And a 1st-year MS student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Galina Shepilevskaya, described how the process of digitalization takes place in modern veterinary medicine and veterinary and sanitary examination.
The third session was devoted to the presentations of students from Adamas University. They talked about the impact of the fourth industrial revolution on the modern world and shared their opinions on what skills and competencies modern youth should possess when looking for a job. They also presented a research results on the topic.
The first jointly organized online conference was moderated by Professor Rajneesh Kler, Head of the Department of Economics at Adamas University, Yana Leven, translator of the International Relations Department at Omsk State Agrarian University, and Sanjana Chakraborty, a student at Adamas University.
At the end of the conference, Professor Soumik Sarkar and Professor Pallavi Julasaria of the Department of Economics of Adamas University, as well as Doctor of Economic Sciences Oksana Kozlova gave their speech. Representatives of both universities expressed their mutual desire to continue cooperation in the field of science and education, and also discussed the possibility of implementing other joint projects.
The work with this conference, starting from its preparation and to holding, is truly an invaluable experience for us. The conference once again demonstrated the need to study foreign languages. Nowadays, ability to speak English opens up countless opportunities for cooperation and the development of scientific and educational activities of our university.
