From January 20 to 31, as part of the international (external) mobility program, teachers from S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical Research University were invited to Omsk SAU: Saule Kazhapovna Makenova, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Land Management, and Olesya Sergeevna Muzyka Senior Lecturer at the Department of Cadastre. The external mobility program was implemented at the Land Management Faculty of Omsk SAU and was completed in full.
On January 24, at a meeting on the development of strategic areas of cooperation with S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical Research University, the colleagues from Kazakhstan were welcomed by Svetlana Yurievna Komarova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences. Representatives from Omsk SAU included: Irina Timofeevna Nadeeva, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Anastasia Nikolaevna Kriklivaya, Head of the International Relations Office, Olga Nikolaevna Dolmatova, Dean of the Land Management Faculty, and Larisa Nikolaevna Gileva, Head of the Department of Land Management. During the meeting, an agreement was reached to launch a joint Master's program "Land Management and Cadastres" starting September 2025. The program will offer students double degrees, significantly expanding their educational opportunities. For faculty, the program will open new prospects for developing scientific contacts and strengthening international cooperation.
Representatives of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical Research University, Saule Kazhapovna and Olesya Sergeevna, delivered lectures to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students enrolled in the field of study 21.03.02 "Land Management and Cadastres." They also conducted practical and laboratory classes in the following disciplines: "Land Resources Management," "Land Use Control," "Land Use Ecology," "Research Methodology," "Legal Support for Land Management and Cadastre," "Cadastral Registration and Real Estate Registration," "Geodesy and Engineering Computer Graphics."
As part of the scientific and methodological seminar "Organization of External International Faculty Mobility in the Development of the Educational Space," held on January 24 at the Land Management Faculty, Saule Kazhapovna presented the experience of implementing educational Master's programs with double degrees in relevant and in-demand specialties. She emphasized that such a program is designed to train highly qualified specialists based on a curriculum coordinated with the partner university. This approach promotes interstate integration, expands graduates' employment opportunities, enhances their professional mobility, and improves their foreign language skills. Olesya Sergeevna spoke about the advantages of international credit mobility – a program that allows university students and teachers to undertake short-term internships abroad.
Omsk SAU is open for cooperation and actively implements external mobility programs that contribute to establishing professional contacts, improving the quality of education and research, and strengthening international ties in the field of education and sustainable development of countries and regions.
In 2024, Omsk SAU became a member of the University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and is now focused on solving strategic tasks for training highly qualified personnel based on joint educational network programs and double degree programs in the fields of "Agronomy," "Ecology," and "Economics," as well as through additional professional programs and joint scientific and scientific-technical projects with universities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
