Omsk SAU Awards Diplomas to its First Master of Laws Graduates

On January 21, the Faculty of Economics at Omsk SAU held a ceremony to award diplomas to the first graduates of extramural form of study of Master of Laws (40.04.01) program with a specialization in "Constitutional and Municipal Law." This program has been offered at the faculty since 2022.

The defense of the master's theses took place on January 16. The State Examination Commission included professionals from the professional sphere: M.K. Mukanov, General Director of the "Pro Pravo" Law Firm LLC and Managing Director of the Bureau for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs and Investors of the Omsk branch of "Opora Rossii" (Chairman of the Commission); V.A. Skorev, Head of the Joint Press Service of the Omsk Region's Judicial System and retired Chairman of the Novovarshavsky District Court; and D.V. Kolodezhny, Head of the Department of Legal Development and Information-Analytical Work at the Ministry of Education of the Omsk Region and a member of the regional Election Commission. 

The members of the State Examination Commission noted the high level of training of the master's students and expressed confidence that the young specialists will be able to solve complex tasks at the intersection of public administration, municipal services, and legal regulation, and will successfully build careers in the law enforcement and judicial systems of the Omsk region, contributing to the region's development.

The diploma ceremony was opened with congratulatory remarks and words of encouragement by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Oleg Anatolyevich Blinov He congratulated the graduates on their hard work and successful completion of their master's degrees, wishing them excellent careers, effective work in their field, and continued growth. The graduates were also congratulated by the Head of the Educational Program in the field of Jurisprudence (40.04.01), Sergey Valentinovich Novikov, and the Head of the Graduate Department of Philosophy, History, Economics, and Law, Olga Semyonovna Evdokhina. They remarked that no matter which path the graduates choose, the university and the faculty will always be happy to welcome them back as researchers, lecturers, partners, or simply as friends visiting their alma mater to reminisce about their student years. Irina Piterimova gave a response on behalf of the graduates.

Seven graduates received their Master of Laws diplomas, with three of them graduating with honors.

Following tradition, the ceremony concluded with the graduates turning the tassels on their mortarboards from the right side to the left and throwing their caps into the air.
