Omsk SAU moved up in the world university ranking Webometrics

Webometrics is an international university ranking developed in 2004 by a team of Spanish specialists.

It analyzes scientific and research activities of a university in the Internet, and assesses efficiency of the university website. Visibility of the website and citations of university scientists are taken into account in the ranking.The ranking is updated twice a year.

Since 2018, our University has moved up to the 214th position among Russian HEIs (in 2018, we held 290th position). Now Omsk SAU is in the 20% of the best Russian Universities in the ranking (out of 1071 participants). In total, there were over 30 000 participants from the world, and Omsk State Agrarian University took 6939th place (in 2018, we were on 10491st position). Only three Omsk HEIs are higher in the ranking than Omsk SAU.

One of the reasons why Omsk SAU has improved its ranking performance so radically is professional approach to website development that includes constant updates of information. Also, our University is determined to increase its presence in the Internet. In 2020, our website was translated to English. It made Omsk SAU more attractive both for foreign students and ranking agencies.
