Omsk SAU participated in an international videoconference for Jean Monnet Programme coordinators

On November 26, the conference for Jean Monnet Programme grant projects coordinators was organized. The annual event called Kick-off Meeting consisted of two parts. Its purpose was to answer the most common questions of grant beneficiaries, to guide them and to help with solving formal troubles that arise during the Covid-19 pandemic.

As part of the morning session a plenary meeting was held, which let representatives of EACEA talk about peculiarities of implementing Jean Monnet projects this year and their priorities on future projects. In particular, it is planned to enlarge the spectre of actions that come under the Programme, and launch completely new initiatives that will allow HEIs from all over the world to participate.

During the evening session the participants were split into groups, and there were talks with European experts. The coordinators of Networks, Chairs, Modules and other Jean Monnet activities had opportunity to directly ask them about their work.

The participants many times touched the issues of changes due to the pandemic that had to be introduced into the initial plans. The EACEA representatives answered all the questions very quickly, and sometimes offered to conduct individual mail consultations to solve the most complicated problems.

At the last part of the meeting, there was another short plenary session that summarized the results of the event. After that, the participants were offered to pass the quiz based on the knowledge obtained during this Kick-off Meeting.

Dinar Baetova, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control and a module leader of 620032-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE “European practice of developing digital financial services in rural areas: knowledge and inclusion” represented Omsk SAU at this event.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Comission as part of the Jean Monnet Module 620032-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE "European practice of developing digital financial services is rural areas: knowledge and inclusion".
