Omsk SAU reaffirmed its positions in Webometrics international ranking

The new results of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities rating for the first half of 2021 have been published recently (the rankings are reviewed twice a year).

This year, Webometrics analyzed more than 31,000 higher education institutions around the world, and 12,000 received appropriate grades. 1058 Russian universities are represented in the ranking.

In its last edition, Webometrics experts evaluated HEIs according to three main criteria - Visibility (number of webpages and links that lead to an institution website), Openness (number of citations of 210 strongest researchers of an university, except 20 the best ones), and Excellence/Scholar - number of university publications among 10% most cited ones in each of the 27 subject areas considered.

Omsk State Agrarian University is on 233 place among Russian universities and on 7491 place in the world ranking, thus being in the 25% of the best world universities. Among 44 agrarian HEIs in Russia, we are on 6th position, still being the fourth best-ranked university in Omsk.
