This competition is held annually with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.
In 2024, 15 students from universities across Russia were recognized as laureates in the category “Design of Agricultural Machines and Equipment”. The project topics varied widely, ranging from component and machinery production to robotics and the application of artificial intelligence in agriculture.
In this category, the winner was Nikita Pankin, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Technical Service in the Agro-Industrial Complex of Omsk SAU and a member of Students Design Bureau, with his project “Development of the Design of the Motor-Propeller Unit Turn for Agricultural Applications.” His scientific supervisor was Alexey Sergeyevich Soyunov, PhD in Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department of Agroengineering.
The awards ceremony took place in Voronezh at the facilities of one of Russia’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturers, Koblik Group, a strategic partner of the prize.
On the first day of the visit, laureates were given a guided tour of the city, learning about Voronezh’s fascinating history, key events, and development into a major industrial center. Participants visited notable landmarks, including historical monuments, architectural ensembles, and modern sites. Special attention was given to the history of local production, which played an important role in the region’s economic development.
The second day included a visit to the Koblik Group plant, one of the city’s leading enterprises. Students had the opportunity to see advanced technologies in action and learn about modern industrial solutions, while also being inspired by the achievements of local specialists.
The second day concluded with a formal award ceremony. Nikita received his laureate diploma and commemorative gifts.
The atmosphere was exceptionally warm and friendly, making the moment especially meaningful for all participants.
Nikita shared his impressions:
"The trip to Voronezh was both intense and memorable, thanks to the interesting program and the warm reception.
