Omsk SAU Students Reach the Semifinals of the All-Russian Engineering Competition
The semi-finalists of this prestigious competition are Nikita Pankin, a fourth-year student in the "Agroengineering" program specializing in "Digital Systems in the Agro-Industrial Complex," and Aleksandra Shipacheva, a first-year master's student at the Faculty of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, and Water Use.
In 2024, Nikita won the Alexander Yezhevsky National Award, a competition for young designers in the agricultural machinery industry. Continuing his work on the application of Unmanned Aircraft Systems in agricultural production, he entered the “All-Russian Engineering” Competition with his project, "Development of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Module for the Application of Powdered Pesticides and Mineral Fertilizers," and successfully advanced to the semifinals.
The direction of the competition, which was chosen by Alexandra, is related to the construction of hydraulic engineering and energy facilities. The project entitled "Construction water supply of the local excavation of the right abutment of the lower head of the shipping lock as part of the Krasnogorsk hydraulic lifting plant on the Irtysh River" was highly appreciated by the expert committee.
In the semi-finals, participants will discuss the content and development of their projects with experts, receive recommendations and individual consultations. They will also receive trainings and workshops on developing presentation skills, as well as a large-scale business program – lectures and seminars on current trends in engineering development.
The final stage of the competition will be held in person in Moscow. The best projects will receive the support of the industrial partners of the competition, including Rosatom State Corporation, Roscosmos State Corporation, Rostech State Corporation, etc.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation with the support of the National Research Nuclear University "Moscow Engineering Physics Institute".
Congratulations to the students and we wish you to reach the finals!
