Omsk State Agrarian University employees took part in the International Conference "Silk Road-2024"

The Silk Road 2024 International Conference is a large-scale platform for discussing the most important issues related to the development of integration of production, research, and their implementation, as well as cooperation and exchange in the field of education of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The event is organized by the Department of Education of the Shaanxi Provincial Government in cooperation with leading universities in Shaanxi Province.

The conference includes 5 scientific seminars aimed at the exchange of experience and cooperation in the field of education, as well as 9 specialized seminars on various aspects of the integration of production, education and scientific research in key sectors, such as energy and chemical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace industry, environmental protection of the plateau, high-quality development of the Huang He basin, electronic science and technology, protection and development of traditional culture, management of intelligent water resources, low-carbon energy, and green urban development.

The opening ceremony of the conference was held on December 2 at the integrated exhibition center of the Yangling International Exhibition and Convention Center. The beginning of the event was marked by creative performances that demonstrated the beauty and diversity of the cultural traditions of the SCO countries.

Then, the participants of the conference were greeted by: Wu Pute, Rector of the Northwest A&F University (China); Ali Haki Sedig, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology of Iran; Xi Zhu, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education of China; Alishev Timirkhan, Vice-rector of Kazan Federal University (Russia); Wang Shusheng, Director of the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province (China) and Albert Kharisovich Gilmutdinov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia).

After the opening ceremony, the signing ceremony of the memorandums of cooperation took place. Vitaly Mikhailovich Pomogaev, Vice-rector for Economics and Informatization, took part in the ceremony on behalf of Omsk SAU. The signed draft documents confirmed the parties' intentions to develop international cooperation in the field of production, education and scientific research collaborations.

In the afternoon, the conference participants visited the International Exhibition of Achievements in the fields of production, education, and scientific research. The exhibition presented advanced developments and innovative projects in various fields of science, which were the result of the joint efforts of scientists and experts from the SCO member countries.

The final stage was a discussion on the experience of international cooperation in production, education, and scientific research between Chinese and foreign research teams. Representatives of SCO universities shared their achievements and plans for the future, emphasizing the importance of such events in strengthening ties and expanding opportunities for interaction.
