Omsk State Agrarian University takes part in OmFest-2024 International Information Technology Festival

From August 31 to September 8 Omsk Region hosts the International Information Technology Festival OmFest- 2024. Its goal is to develop IT personnel in the region and the country, and improve digital knowledge.

On September 4, the conference "Domestic Software: the path to technological Leadership" was held. IT conference has become the main business event of the OmFest 2024 Digital Technology Festival. The plenary part of the conference was attended by Vitaly Mikhailovich Pomogaev, Vice-Rector for Economics and Informatization of Omsk State Agrarian University, and the Head of the Information Technology Department Pavel Igorevich Revyakin.

As part of the conference (https://forum.arppsoft.ru /) "Industrial platform for solving issues of implementing domestic software in industry" the agreements were signed:
- about long-term strategic cooperation with the group of companies "CSoft - Engineering solutions for business digitalization";
- about opening an accredited certification training center to work with specialized nanoCAD software with Nanosoft, Russian developer of engineering software: CAD/CAD, TIM/BIM and technologies for PGS facilities service care at all stages of the life cycle. The agreement was signed by the Vice Rector for Economics and Informatization of Omsk State Agrarian University Vitaly Mikhailovich Pomogaev.

OmskSAU held a round table addressing the topic "Digital technologies in agriculture" at its university site. The event was attended by the heads of agricultural enterprises, representatives of telecommunications companies, scientists and teachers of OmskSAU. The central topics of the round table were the use of telemetry systems in agriculture, the development and use of yield prediction models, the formation of digital competencies among students, training for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and the practical use of UAS in agricultural enterprises in the Omsk region.

The Digital Technology Festival will last until the end of the week. Omsk State Agrarian University will continue to participate in OMFEST-2024 events. Stay tuned!
