The "Open Dialogue" event, dedicated to the All-Russian Student's Day, featured the Rector of Omsk SAU, Oksana Viktorovna Shumakova, and two of our university's alumni: the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry of the Omsk Region, Nikolai Valentinovich Drofa, and the Head of the Main Directorate of Veterinary Medicine of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Petrovich Plashchenko.
The event was attended by some of the most active, creative, talented, proactive, athletic, and outstanding students from all student associations and fields of the university.
The honored guests of the "Open Dialogue" congratulated the students on the upcoming All-Russian Student's Day. They wished for the students to find their right path in life, receive a quality education that would open all doors, and achieve happiness, fulfill their dreams, and make true, reliable friends.
Andrey Ivanovich Zabudsky, Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy, reported that Omsk SAU ranks fifth out of 65 in the Siberian Federal District in terms of educational work and youth policy and spoke about various areas of activity and achievements of the student community.
The meeting took place in a very friendly atmosphere. The students fondly recalled the most significant and memorable events of their university life in 2024. They shared funny incidents and curiosities from the past academic year: the KVN team "Agrarochka" talked about their prop for a game - a tractor; student labor brigades - about virgin lands and apples; volunteers and the Student Council - about their fun adventures on trips, and many others.
Oksana Viktorovna, Nikolai Valentinovich and Vladimir Petrovich, also shared their own best memories and experiences from their student days: harvesting crops, haymaking, playing guitar and singing, and participating in fun sports events. The students were interested to hear their advice, based on vast life experience.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of student life, summarized the past year, and outlined plans for the future. Students asked questions about topics that interested them, such as the importance of student activism for their future adult lives, the possibility of hosting an All-Russian agricultural labor project in the Omsk region, and the use of digital technologies in the state veterinary service.
They watched a video about the active life of Omsk SAU students, their achievements and successes. The Student Council held a quiz for Tatyana's Day and gave sweets to all girls with this beautiful name.
