The first thing that was offered to the attention of the freshmen was a film dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Omsk State Agrarian University. It shows the stories of professional and personal growth of university graduates. The speakers of the meeting were successful graduates of the university from different years, who are the pride of the university. They talked about their development trajectory.
The dialogue was moderated by Oksana Viktorovna Shumakova, Rector of the Omsk State Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor, graduate of Omsk SAU in 1995.
One of the speakers of the rector's hour is Igor Vitalievich Kolodezhny, a graduate of 1999 of the Faculty of Zootechny, Commodity Science and Standardization, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology, director of LLC Trading House Babylon, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences. During his studies at the university, he actively engaged in sports, defending the faculty at the annual sports contests. He was the winner (2nd place) of the Omsk universities championships in athletics in the 4x400m relay. Already during the training period, he was deeply immersed in the production activities of livestock enterprises, working during the period of practical training as a foreman, zootechnic at the "Omskiy" breeding plant.
Dmitry Alexandrovich Golovanov is the second speaker of the rector's hour. He graduated from the Faculty of Technical Service in the agro-industrial complex in 2004, and now he is a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region, Chairman of the Board of the Agro-Industrial Union of the Omsk region, member of the Board of Trustees of the Omsk State Agrarian University.
After graduating from the university, he was hired as a master of the mechanical section in the experimental design bureau of SibNIISKhoz. At the end of 2004, he was appointed chief engineer of the enterprise. In 2009, Dmitry Alexandrovich graduated from the postgraduate school of Omsk State Agrarian University and in 2013 defended his thesis of Candidate of Technical Sciences. Associate Professor of the Department of Agricultural Engineering of Omsk State Agrarian University named after P. A. Stolypin. In 2015, he completed his studies under the presidential management training program. According to the results of the competitive selection, he was included in the personnel reserve of the government of the Omsk region. From 2013 to 2015, he worked as Deputy Director for Technical Development of the plant. In 2015, he became the head of the Omsk Experimental Plant. In 2016, he was elected a member of the Board of the Agro-Industrial Union of the Omsk region. In 2020, he became Chairman of the Board of the Agricultural Union. He has been involved in sports since school years, and actively participates in university sports events.
The third speaker is Alexander Valeryevich Smirnov, a 2015 graduate of the Faculty of Economics, entrepreneur, director of the "Omskiy Kuzovnoy" repair Center. In 2010, he was the winner of the "Mr. University" competition. Bronze medalist of the OmSAU competitions in kettlebell lifting (2010-2013), member of the university's Sambo team. In 2014, he took third place in the Omsk region championship in hand-to-hand combat, candidate for master of sports in hand-to-hand combat. In 2013 and 2014, he participated in the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation with representatives of the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia. During his studies, he was the chairman of the regional branch of the Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia.
The fourth speaker is Tatyana Gennadievna Mozzherina, a 2002 graduate of the Faculty of Economics, Head of the Administration of the Rector's Office and Organizational Development of Omsk State Agrarian University, Candidate of Economics.of Sciences, Associate professor. More than 20 years of work at the Faculty of Economics (lecturer, from 2007-2013 - Chairman of the methodological commission, Deputy Director for organizational and methodological work). Since 2016, she has been the Head of the Administration of the Rector's Office and Organizational Development of the Omsk State Agrarian University. Coordinator of the university's student media service (in 2018, 2022, SMS members are winners of Rosmolodezh grant competitions, annual prize-winners of the Russian Student Spring and winners of the All-Russian competition among universities of the Ministry of Agriculture "Student Spring", laureates and winners of various international, all-Russian and regional competitions in the field of Media).
Answering the first question, "What in your opinion is the hallmark of Omsk State Agrarian University and fundamentally distinguishes it from other universities?", the experts noted that the campus includes all the necessary infrastructure for students. But the most important thing is the history of people who studied here, worked here for more than a century, created traditions, which are now being picked up by young people to create their present and future. Moreover, the agrarian university has the most intense student life and a special atmosphere of support, kindness and mutual understanding.
"What events held at the university, do you recall most often and why?"
Igor Vitalievich Kolodezhny remembered the faculty's duty before the New Year near the pine alley at the university, this event brought students together, and also an unforgettable atmosphere of support and pride for his faculty at the athletics relay for the prize of the newspaper Kirovets.
"Who do you consider your teacher, mentor? Who helped you decide on a profession, believed in your strength?"
D.A. Golovanov called Anatoly Andreevich Solovyov, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanization at that time; scientific advisor, Professor Stanislav Antonovich Kornilovich, as well as Oleg Mikhailovich Kirasirov.
Tatyana Gennadievna Mozzherina gratefully remembers Lyudmila Ivanova Popova, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Omsk Agricultural College and said kind words about the rector of the Omsk State Agrarian University Oksana Viktorovna Shumakova as a mentor.
Igor Vitalievich Kolodezhny noted that his life and carrier was influenced by Antonina Yakovlevna Guleva, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation.
The most important mentors for Oksana Viktorovna Shumakova were her parents, graduates of the Omsk Agricultural Institute named after S.M.Kirov. They were the ones who advised their daughter to enroll here.
The main advice for freshmen from A.V. Smirnov: "Identify what you need, set a global goal and go for it."
D.A.Golovanov advised the children to use all the opportunities that the university provides not only for study, but also for self-development.
T.G.Mozzherina emphasized: "There is no unnecessary knowledge, any skill will be useful to you in life. Study everything, don't miss anything!"
I.V. Kolodezhny noted: "Try to communicate more with those who work in production, this is an invaluable practical experience."
