Round Table "Application of Unmanned Automated Systems in Agriculture"

On February 6, as part of Science Month, the Department of Agroengineering hosted a round table discussion with invited representatives from manufacturing enterprises and agricultural machinery manufacturers.

The moderator, Vladimir Viktorovich Myalo, Head of the Department of Agroengineering, opened the meeting by presenting the agenda, objectives of the event, and introducing the speakers and guests. Vladimir Viktorovich spoke about the trends in implementing digital technologies into the educational process for training specialists, paying special attention to the specific aspects of preparing future graduates. Alexey Sergeevich Soyunov, Associate Professor of the Department of Agroengineering, introduced participants to developments in unmanned vehicle technology and the department's achievements in scientific research.

Presentations by industry representatives sparked productive discussions among round table participants. Issues related to unmanned systems in crop production, unmanned tractors and combines from Semirechenskaya Supply Base OJSC, steering control devices, and navigation system services from AGRO-MASTER LLC are being widely implemented in farms across the Omsk region and require qualified maintenance.

The outcomes of the round table included adjusted plans for faculty internships, scheduled student field trips, and joint research projects.
