Students and teachers participated in the “Paper Boom” action

As part of the “School of Ecologist” project supported by the Ministry of Regional Policy and Mass Communications of the Omsk Region with the participation of the Presidential Grants Fund, an environmental action “Paper Boom” took place in November. The project is implemented by the joint efforts of the Omsk Regional Public Organization “Earth - Our Common Home” and volunteer environmentalists of Omsk SAU.

The campaign took place during November and was attended by more than 150 people - students and teachers of Omsk SAU. The goal of the campaign was to attract the attention of students, teachers and employees to the problem of waste paper utilization and recycling. Teachers and students of agrotechnological and land management faculties, faculty of technical service in agroindustrial complex, faculty of agrochemistry, soil science, ecology, environmental engineering and water resources exploitation, faculty of economics, faculty of zootechnics, commodity science and standardization took part in waste paper collection. The most active were the representatives of the faculties: technical service in agro-industrial complex, economic and agrotechnological. The students and teachers of Omsk SAU managed to collect 700 kg of waste paper, and the proceeds will be used to purchase humanitarian aid for the participants of the SMO.
