Students of the Omsk State Agrarian University have received the National Scholarship of the Slovak Republic for the second time

The National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic was established in 2005 to support the exchange of undergraduate students, postgraduates, university teachers and researchers.

Applications for the National Scholarship of the Slovak Republic are accepted twice a year – in October and in April.

Bachelor and specialist students who have completed at least 2.5 years of study by the time of participation in the program; master students; PhD students, as well as teachers and researchers of universities can apply for the scholarship.

This April 364 applicants took part in the competition, 105 of them were undergraduate students and 59 postgraduate students. Only 30 undergraduate students and 22 postgraduates from 14 countries have successfully passed the selection process. This time, 5 grants for undergraduate students were allocated to Russia (in autumn 4 students from Russia won the scholarship) and only 2 grants for PhD students. This time, students of Omsk State Agrarian University received one grant in both nominations.

The International Relations Department sincerely congratulates Bashirova Alina Rustamovna, a 4th-year specialist student of the Faculty of Land Management, direction "21.05.01 Applied geodesy" and a PhD student of the first year of study in the direction of training "21.06.02. Geodesy" Madiev Aset Gabitovich with the successful completion of the competitive selection and receipt of the National Scholarship of the Slovak Republic!

Now our fellows face the main question – How will their study/internship take place in the next semester? It is too early to say whether Slovak universities will continue to work remotely in the upcoming semester or not. But we still hope that this time our winners will be able to personally visit their chosen universities and get acquainted with the culture of this wonderful country.

If you have any questions about participation in the program, please contact the International Relations Department at the address Institutskaya Ploshchad 1, room 429,403, or by e-mail: mezhd.otd@omgau.org.
