Teachers and Students of the Department of Environmental Management, Water Use, and Water Resources Protection Participated in the 1st International Conference "Water Resources Safety - 2024"

From May 14 to 16, the 1st International Conference "Water Resources Safety - 2024" took place at the Congress Hall, organized by the Water Center of Saint Petersburg State University and the Government of the Omsk Region.

Teachers from the Department of Environmental Management, Water Use, and Water Resources Protection—Irina Grigoryevna Ushakova, Irina Alexandrovna Trotsenko, Yulia Vladimirovna Korchevskaya, Anastasia Vyacheslavovna Kiseleva, Tatyana Leonidovna Kondratyeva, and Yevgeny Fedorovich Petrov—along with master's students in the field of "Environmental Management and Water Use," Ilya Evgenyevich Kriko and Gleb Alexandrovich Zhemchur, participated in roundtable discussions and presented reports.

At the roundtable titled "Quality Water Supply and Wastewater Management as the Foundation for Public Health and Well-Being. The Condition and Quality of Groundwater and Surface Water Resources. Problems of Water Pollution and Their Mitigation. Methods for Assessing and Eliminating Damage," T. L. Kondratyeva presented a report on "Water Supply for the Population of the Omsk Region from Underground Sources: Problems."

Y. F. Petrov raised the issue of "Unresolved Problems of Regulatory Legal Regulation in Water Management Using the Example of Flooded Developed Areas: An Engineer-Hydrotechnician's Perspective on Flood-2024" at the roundtable dedicated to "Hydrotechnical Structures as an Integral Part of Economic Development."

Master's students G. A. Zhemchur and I. E. Kriko participated in the roundtable "Sludge Treatment, Technologies, and Prospects" with a report on "The Problem of Treating Wastewater from the Printing Industry."
