The faculty hosted a breakout meeting of the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Siberian Village: 70 years since the beginning of the development of virgin and fallow lands in Russia”

On June 6, within the framework of the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Siberian Village: 70 Years since the Beginning of the Development of Virgin and Fallow Lands in Russia”, a meeting of section №5 “Digital Technologies for Land Management of Agriculture in Russia” was held at the Faculty of Land Management.

Olga Nikolaevna Dolmatova (a dean of the faculty of Land Management, candidate of Economic Sciences, associate professor) addressed the participants of the conference with a welcoming speech, wished all the participants of the conference fruitful work and good luck. Olga Nikolaevna noted that it is a great honor and responsibility for the faculty to be speakers and participants of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Siberian Village”, which has already become traditional for the university.

More than 60 people took part in the meeting of the conference section, which was held in a face-to-face and remote format: leading scientists of agricultural and other universities in Russia and abroad, teachers and students of our faculty. The meeting was opened by Rogatnev Yuri Mikhailovich (a chairman of the section, honored land surveyor of the Russian Federation, honorary worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, doctor of Economics, professor of the Land Management department in the Omsk State Agrarian University) highlighted the main issues touched upon at the plenary session of the conference, and also touched upon the problem of involving unused land in agricultural circulation as a complex socio-economic task of agriculture.

The moderator of section №5 was Natalia Kapitulina (a senior lecturer of the Land Management department of the faculty of Land Management, responsible for research at the faculty). Viktor Bryzhko (a head of the Land Management department (Perm State Agrarian and Technological University), doctor of Economics, professor) was a co-chairman of the section.

Tuyakbay Assem Serikovna (a doctor of PhD, head of the Geodesy and Cartography department of the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin (Nur-Sultan)) made reports on a topical theme for the Republic of Kazakhstan “Monitoring of river flooding during the spring flood between the Ishim and Nura rivers within the suburban zone of the city of Astana using remote sensing data.”

At the section, a joint report was presented on the topic "Assessment of the moisture of the territory based on Landsat satellite imagery"  by Olga Varfolomeevna Mezentseva (a doctor of Geographical Sciences, professor of the Geography and Methods of Teaching Geography department (Omsk State Pedagogical University (Omsk)) and Aisula Amirkhanovna Kusainova (a candidate of Geographical Sciences, senior lecturer of the Mine Surveying and Geodesy department in the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkasa Saginova (Karaganda)).

Ekaterina Dmitrievna Kontraktrova (a candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor of the Geodesy and Cadastral Activities department in the Tyumen Industrial University (Tyumen)) spoke about the promising zones of rural tourism accommodation in the Tyumen Region in the report “Geoinformation Analysis of Promising Rural Tourism Zones in the Tyumen Region.”

Albert Arturovich Nugmanov, a promising young scientist, assistant of the Land Management department in the Omsk State Agrarian University, presented a report under the guidance of Yuri Mikhailovich Rogatnev: “Problems of accuracy in determining metric information (linear and areal characteristics) in the transition from one coordinate system to another.”

Considerable interest among all those present, especially among students, was aroused by the report of Natalia Alexandrovna Parkhomenko (a candidate of Agricultural Sciences, associate professor of the Geodesy and Remote Sensing department in the Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin. The topic was “Accuracy of determining the depths of underground pipelines.”

Vershinin Viktor Ivanovich (a PhD of Law, associate professor of the Geodesy and Cadastral Activities department in the Tyumen Industrial University (Tyumen)) presented materials for the topic “Legal regulation of the seizure of agricultural land.”

In conclusion, Yuri Mikhailovich Rogatnev, the chairman of the section, presented the resolution of the meeting, in which he highlighted a number of important modern problems of land management in agriculture in Russia using digital technologies, disclosed in the reports of the section participants. He noted that some of the reports are related to the work using satellite images, and some are to the accuracy of the work, and all this has an economic background to prepare for future production activities, taking into account the scientific issues raised by the conference.

Following the meeting of the section, the organizing committee and participants noted the high scientific and practical level, the relevance of the scientific topics of the reports, the effective discussion and, of course, the acquisition of friendly contacts. The conference materials will be published in an electronic collection of proceedings and posted in the Russian Science Citation Index.
