The First Agrarian Forum in the Bolsheukovsky Municipal District

On February 6, the first Agrarian Forum was held in the village of Bolshiye Uki, Omsk Region. The event took place on the basis of the Bolsheukovskaya Secondary School.

The forum involved schoolchildren from the Bolsheukovskaya, Ayovskaya, Uralinskaya, Firstovskaya, and Chebaklinskaya schools, with a total of approximately 45 students participating.

The forum was opened by A.N. Yatsunov, Director of the Tara Branch of Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsk SAU). He spoke to the students about the development of agriculture, its various sectors, the university, and its structural subdivisions.

Information about the higher education programs and secondary vocational education specialties offered at the Tara Branch, as well as about student research and extracurricular activities, was presented by: V. S. Koval, Dean of the Higher Education Faculty; Y. N. Ivanova, Head of the Secondary Vocational Education Department.

The core of the forum was a practice-oriented quest. During this quest, teams worked at stations solving practical cases. The organizers had set up five stations:

- "Blind Assembly": Supervised by V. S. Koval, Dean of the Higher Education Faculty. Here, participants had to demonstrate their ability to screw nuts onto bolts without seeing them, simulating real-life vehicle repairs where access is often limited.

- "Obstacle Course": Under the guidance of S. V. Uskov, a teacher from the Secondary Vocational Education Department. At this stage, students showed their skills in controlling a robot, tasking them with navigating a "slalom" course and parking the robot in a makeshift garage against the clock.

- "Electrician": In this task, led by teacher V. A. Pozhidaev from the Secondary Vocational Education Department, students assembled a puzzle depicting an electrical circuit diagram. After correctly assembling the puzzle, they could then build the actual circuit themselves and see the light bulbs illuminate.

- "In All Four Directions": This stage, developed by Associate Professor A. V. Bankrutenko from the Department of Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering, required participants to measure the length of a classroom, calculate its area and volume. The operation of various geodetic instruments was also demonstrated.                                                                                                                                                                    - "Useful Beans": N.N. Kudryavtseva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Agronomy and Agricultural Engineering, told the students about different varieties of leguminous crops. Then, all participants had to sort mixed beans by their varieties.

As the forum had a competitive nature, points were awarded to all teams for the completed tasks.

The forum concluded with an award ceremony for the teams. The team from Chebaklinskaya Secondary School won by a narrow margin and received valuable prizes. All participating teams also received souvenirs with Omsk SAU branding.

The Tara Branch of Omsk SAU expresses its gratitude for the assistance in organizing the forum to the Education Committee of the Bolsheukovsky Municipal District Administration for providing the venue at the Bolsheukovskaya Secondary School, and to all the schools for their active participation in the forum.
