The official delegation of Omsk State Agrarian University took part in the IV Forum of Heads of Regions of the SCO member states

The International Forum of Heads of SCO Regions was held in Omsk from September 17 to 19. The key goal of the forum is to deepen inter-regional trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

For three days, representatives of federal ministries, organizations, including universities, and delegations from different regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, India, and other SCO countries discussed strategic areas of cooperation.

The official delegation of the Omsk State Agrarian University, consisting of 35 participants, visited the forum. The panel sessions of the IV Forum of Heads of Regions of the SCO member States was attended by the following experts from the University Komarova Svetlana Yurievna, Vice-rector for Education, Novikov Yuri Ivanovich, Vice-rector for Research, Zabudskiy Andrey Ivanovich, Vice-rector for Social Work and Youth Policy.

The faculty, graduate students and students of Omsk State Agrarian University took an active part in the panel sessions of the IV Forum of Heads of Regions of the SCO member states:
- joint educational programs as a key to the successful development of international relations between the regions of the SCO member states;
- youth cooperation between the regions of the SCO member States;
- prospects for cooperation between the regions of the
SCO member states in the field of agriculture; - best practices of the regions of the SCO member states in achieving the goals of sustainable development.

Issues related to the development of joint educational programs, prospects for cooperation between the regions of the SCO member states in the field of agriculture and best practices in achieving the goals of sustainable development and youth cooperation between the regions of the SCO member states were discussed at the venues.

An important topic of the forum was the deepening of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of education, initiated within the framework of the Years of Culture of Russia and China. The opportunities and prospects for the development of joint educational programs were represented by Wang Shusheng, Head of the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province (China).

It is worth noting that the key areas of cooperation between the SCO countries are the training and recruitment of highly qualified specialists for all sectors of the economy, including agriculture and the search for in-demand scientific and technological solutions.

Another priority for the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is to strengthen intercultural cooperation. So, on the first day of the forum, official representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, led by Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk Aybek Akmatbekovich Aidarbekov and Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Omsk Nursultan Isabek uulu, met with Kyrgyz citizens studying at Omsk universities as part of the event. It was dedicated to the Days of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. The meeting was attended by students of the Land Management Faculty of Omsk State Agrarian University – Zakirova Aigerim and Janybekov Kutman, citizens of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. They noted that the atmosphere of cordiality, hospitality and Kyrgyz culture prevailed at the event.
