The Omsk State Agrarian University has launched training for a new group of school students to obtain their first working profession

Fifteen students from the Magistralnaya Secondary School in the Omsk region will participate in the vocational training program "Worker of the Green Economy."

The program is being implemented as part of the promotion of the federal project "Professionalitet." As part of this promotion aimed at the vocational orientation of potential applicants for the educational programs of the "Professionalitet" project, school students will undergo vocational training to acquire their first profession at the educational and production cluster established in Omsk State Agrarian University.

A worker in the green economy is a specialist engaged in landscaping and improving territories, planting greenery, creating and maintaining lawns, hedges, and flower beds.

The program includes an intensive course covering various subjects (modules): plant protection from pests and diseases; labor protection; fundamentals of floriculture and arboriculture; lawn establishment and maintenance. Upon completion of the training, students will take a qualification exam involving complex situational tasks (case studies) and demonstrate the practical skills they have acquired. Those who successfully pass the final assessment will be awarded the qualification "Worker in the Green Economy, 3rd category" and receive a certificate of vocational training.

Despite their young age, the students are already focused on gaining their first experience for future employment. The vocational training project launched by the university provides an opportunity to obtain their first profession free of charge. It is also worth noting that both students and their parents are offered post-program support, which includes career counseling and assistance in finding potential job placements during the summer.
