The Siberian Sports Triad Has Begun!

Omsk State Agrarian University hosted the opening of the sports and wellness festival “Siberian Sports Triad.” This multi-sport competition features three disciplines: cross-country skiing, orienteering, and Nordic walking.

The competition is held with grant support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation as part of the contest for the best organization of physical education and sports activities among higher education institutions.

Guests and active participants of the festival included teams from Novosibirsk State Agrarian University, Kuzbass State Agrarian University named after Vladimir Nikitovich Poletskov, South Ural State Agrarian University, Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University, and Ural State Agrarian University. Omsk universities also took part actively: Dostoevsky Omsk State University, Omsk State Medical University, Omsk State Technical University, Siberian State Automobile and Highway University, and Omsk State Pedagogical University.

On December 12, the Omsk SAU stadium hosted a team sprint and a mass cross-country ski race. Today, athletes are set to compete in orienteering and Nordic walking.
