Volunteer meetings "Digital financial services for the village" were presented at a seminar in the Omsk Municipal District 01/25/2022

Volunteer meetings "Digital financial services for the village" were presented at a seminar in the Omsk Municipal District

During a seminar held on January 28, participants discussed the prospects for implementing the Jean Monnet Module "European practice of developing digital financial services in rural areas: knowledge and inclusion" in the Omsk Municipal District.

The seminar "Activities of socially-oriented NGOs in the municipal district: time for new solutions", organized by the Department of Social Policy of the Administration of the Omsk Municipal District of the Omsk Region, was devoted to cooperation in the implementation of sociall-oriented projects.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Omsk district and rural settlements administration as well as leaders of public organizations. Implementation of the Jean Monnet Module involves the transfer of knowledge about digital financial services and mastering rural population' skills of using digital financial services. Thus, via combining volunteer meetings with population and socially-oriented projects at municipal level, it is possible to cover wider range of rural population.

Head of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control Oleg Blinov talked about the relevance and objectives of holding these volunteer meetings. He also invited the attendees to participate in a study program "Digital Finance for small and medium-sized businesses of the agro-food sector". Dinar Baetova spoke about the organizational and technical aspects of holding meetings with the rural population. The seminar participants asked many questions about the target audience of volunteer meetings, about the occupancy of groups, etc.

We thank Head of the Social Policy Department of the Omsk District Administration Lyubov Vladimirovna Barkhatova, and Valentina Petrovna Valova, Head of the Department for Ensuring the Activities of the Social Policy Department, for participating in the seminar.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Commission as part of the Jean Monnet Module 620032-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE "European practice of developing digital financial services is rural areas: knowledge and inclusion".   The European Commission's support for the production of this publication does not constitute an endorsement of the contents, which reflect the views only of the authors, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.
