2020 Chinese Government Scholarship
(Chinese Universities’ Program)
This is a full scholarship for designated Chinese universities to recruit outstanding international students for pursuing master degree or Ph.D degree in China. NWAFU is one of designated universities in China and will directly recruit about 60 international students funded by the program.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.
- Education background and age limit: – Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
- IELTS of a minimum score of 6.0 overall or TOEFL iBT of a minimum score of 78 overall is mandatory for application for English-medium program, HSK4 is
- Applicants have not been funded by any other scholarships.
– Applicants for Doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

Note: The English proficiency certificate could be exempted for the applicants from English speaking countries, applicants who take English as medium of instruction in university are no need to provide the certificate, but proof of English as medium of instruction is needed.
Details of full scholarship and duration of study
– Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for room rent.
– Living stipend and fees for outpatient medical service, comprehensive medical insurance in China will be paid by Chinese Government.
– Note:
- Costs of the laboratory experiment or internship that beyond the university’s arrangements should be afforded by the student himself.
- Monthly stipend is paid to the students by the host institution at the following rates (CNY yuan per month): – Master degree students, general scholars: CNY 3,000 yuan
- Duration of study: 3 years for master programs, 4 years for Ph.D programs
– Doctoral degree students, senior scholars: CNY 3,500 yuan
International travel expenses
International travel expenses will be paid by students themselves.

Agency Number 10712. Program category: Type B - One acceptance letter from potential supervisor.
- Notarized transcripts of the most advanced study (Chinese or English)
- Notarized diploma of the most advanced study (Chinese or English)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Study plan in China (more than 800 words)
- Publications (if you have any)
- Photocopy of Passport
- Certificate of Police Clearance
- Photocopy of physical examination record (download form http://is.nwsuaf.edu.cn/zlxz/321992.htm)
- Certificate of English Proficiency (TOFEL, IELTS) or Chinese Proficiency Certificate (HSK)
- Two photos of two inches
Notes
- The faxed and digital application documents are not be accepted.
- Incomplete documents will be refused to process.
- The application documents will not returned.
- Please bring the original highest diploma and original Physical Examination Recordor Foreigners and Blood Test Report when you come to NWAFU for registration. Otherwise, the admission and scholarship status will be canceled.
- Change of major and medium language is not allowed.
- Applicants who are students now will need to provide proof that they are studying now and will be awarded academic degree before September 2020.

The applicants must submit their application documents to Office of Admissions of International Education of Northwest A&F University before March 1 (annualy).
