Omsk SAU ranking performance

In addition to being ranked as a leading agrarian university in 2020 and 2021 by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Omsk State Agrarian University also holds decent positions in a number of international rankings. Below is a brief analysis of Omsk SAU positions in the most common world university rankings.

THE Impact Rankings, measuring universities’ contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, assessed our university in SDG-1 «No poverty» (401-600), SDG-2 «Zero hunger» (201-300), SDG-3 «Good health and wellbeing» (601-800), and SDG-17 «Partnership for the goals» (601-800). Good performance in SDG-2 confirms that our agronomists’ achievements in breeding and wide interaction with local farmers have borne fruit.

Green Metric is an Indonesian ranking that analyzes how universities make their campuses environmentally-friendly. Unlike THE Impact Rankings, it focuses primarily on ecological issues. In 2022, Omsk SAU confirmed positions in the middle of the list, consisting of over 1000 HEIs from around the world. It is 681st on the world list and 28th among Russian universities.

In 2022, Omsk State Agrarian University debuted in the Round University Rankings at the 915th position, and it is in the second place among Russian agricultural HEIs. THE World University Ranking was another ranking in which Omsk SAU was given "Reporter" status for the first time.

A crucial part of a university performance is transparency and openness of its website to the public. UniRank and Webometrics measure that, and in these rankings, Omsk SAU holds 233 and 179 positions among Russian HEIs, respectively.
