Omsk State Agrarian University took part in events within the ErasmusDays campaign

The international campaign #ErasmusDays is aimed at popularizing the European Union's Erasmus+ program and demonstrating the features of the education system in European countries. Erasmus Days involve holding thematic events in any format: flash mobs, demonstrations, open lessons, conferences, webinars, program alumni meetings, etc. Employees and teachers of Omsk SAU organized and participated in a number of events within the framework of this action.

On October 15, Dinar Baetova, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control of the Faculty of Economics, module coordinator of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project Module "European practice of developing digital financial services in rural areas: knowledge and inclusion" (Jean Monnet Module "European practice of developing digital financial services in rural areas: knowledge and inclusion") 620032-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE took part in an online round table on the experience of implementing grants from the European Jean Monnet program organized by Omsk State University named after F. M. Dostoevsky. The event was particularly valuable because it addressed the implementation of grant applications in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, the need to shift the dates of events or transfer them to a remote format.

The participants of this project were representatives of 5 Universities from two countries (Russia and Kazakhstan), most of which have already accumulated significant experience in implementing projects of the Jean Monnet program. Presentations were made by Dinar Baetova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Department of Economics, Accounting and Financial Control, Omsk State Agrarian University; Zhanat Jabasova, head of the center for international cooperation and project implementation, Kostanay Engineering and Economics University (Kazakhstan), Raisa Pritula, Candidate of Economic Sciences, PhD, Academic Professor, Kostanay Engineering and Economics University (Kazakhstan), Tatyana Storchak, Associate Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences, head of the Department of Biology, Nizhnevartovsk State University; Yulia Fomina, associate Professor, candidate of Economics science, Deputy Dean of the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Economics, Dostoevsky State University; Eldar Khairullin, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate Professor of the Department of history and theory of international relations, Dostoevsky State University.

Marina Evsenina, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor, head of Department of International Relations, and Olga Volkova, public relations specialist in the Department of International Relations of Ryazan State Agrotechnological University. During the event, participants shared their experience of working on specific modules and projects of Jean Monnet. The webinar was useful because it was attended by people who are already implementing Jean Monnet grants, as well as those who are just about to start implementing them, and who have not submitted a grant application yet.

"The webinar introduced me to colleagues from Kazakhstan, Ryazan, and Omsk State Agrarian University. It was useful to learn from their experience in implementing Erasmus projects, both completed and ongoing. The information presented at the webinar served as a source for new ideas that can be used in future projects»

On October 16, an online conference was also held for Erasmus+ graduates, who shared their experience of study trips abroad and gave advice to future participants of the program. This event was organized by the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. Students from 41 agricultural, technical and classical Universities in Russia, as well as from Universities in Poland, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the Czech Republic, France and Bulgaria took part in the event. Employees of the International Relations Department joined the event from Omsk State Agrarian University. As part of the Erasmus Days, the Olympiad was held, which was attended by 2 students of Omsk State Agrarian University, and Alena Melikhova from the Agrotechnological Faculty entered the top 10 winners.

The #ErasmusDays campaign allowed all of us, both students and employees of Omsk State Agrarian University, to join European educational practices, exchange experience and learn a lot about international cooperation. We hope to continue taking part in Erasmus days in the future, organizing contests, webinars and thematic meetings for everyone.
