The conference was organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Siberia, the government of the Omsk region, the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia and the Foundation for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education.

Opening the International Interfaith Conference "Siberia - the territory of Dialogue", the Governor of the Omsk region Vitaliy Pavlovich Khotsenko noted in his welcoming speech that the Omsk region is a real example of a region of ethno–confessional stability and strong friendship between people of different nationalities and religions.

During the event, high–ranking guests and participants of the event: representatives of state authorities, delegates from national associations and public organizations, representatives of the Islamic and Orthodox clergy emphasized that no matter how different the peoples are, we are all united and only through knowing each other we can overcome existing differences. The only student from Indonesia in the Omsk region Rifni Aprinoer, studying for a master's degree program at Omsk State Agrarian University, was awarded a personal meeting with the diplomatic corps of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus - Berlian Helmy, Deputy Chief of Mission/Head of Chancery and Nanang Syaiful Fadillah, Minister Counsellor of the Information, Social, and Cultural Division. The negotiations were also attended by Amy Maulana, Associate Directure of International Partnership at the University Nahdlatul Ulama (Yogyakarta, Indonesia), a graduate student at Volgograd State University and Yana Leven. The Deputy Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Administration of the Omsk State Agrarian University for the care, support and opportunity for Indonesian citizens to receive education.

Kutman Dzhanybekov and Aigerim Zakirova took part in the meeting with Kyrgyz citizens studying at Omsk universities with the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Novosibirsk – Aybek Akmatbekovich Aidarbekov, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Omsk region – Nursultan Isabek uulu, deputies of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as with the president of the Omsk regional public organization "The Commonwealth of Kyrgyzstanis", who is a 1994 graduate of Omsk State Agrarian University – Akimbek Myrzaevich Asanov.

Rifni Aprinoer, a student at the Faculty of Agrochemistry, Soil Sciences, Ecology, Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Exploitation: "In my opinion, the event was interesting. This event may help to know more about religion whether Islam or Christian for people who are not familiar with them. Being participants on that event enhanced knowledge too. Also as a muslim, I'm proud and happy that my religion can be broadly introduced. In addition, I am happy that I was able to meet with representatives of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. We talked a lot about my studies and why I chose agrochemistry and soil science as my specialty. Besides, I got a lot of advice from them. Thanks to this event, my social circle has become a little wider!"

Aigerim Zakirova, students of the Faculty of Land Management: "During the conference we had a meeting with the representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic. We discussed long-standing issues and problems with the deputies of Kyrgyzstan. There were guys from the Law Faculty, they even proposed several ideas for the laws of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The deputies of the Kyrgyz Republic promised to discuss all this with representatives of the higher community. I think such meetings with migrants should be held more often because living in a foreign country raises many problematic issues. The participants of the meeting were given a business card of the Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in the Omsk region, so that in case of any questions they could call him, which I am very grateful for. Thanks to this meeting, I became motivated to study better, new goals appeared, and I will definitely achieve them! Everything was very interesting. Many thanks to our University for such opportunities!"
