Omsk State
Agrarian University
named after P.A. Stolypin

Faculty of Technical Service of Agroindustrial Complexes

The Faculty of Technical Service of Agroindustrial Complexes was founded in 1950. Initially, the faculty was called "Faculty of  Agricultural Mechanization." In 1950, the first group  of students started their way to higher education at the faculty.

Currently, the faculty trains bachelor and master students for the agro-industrial complex (maintenance of equipment and machinery, electrification and automation of technological processes in production). Also, it trains engineers whose activities are related to the operation, repair and maintenance of motor transport.

Highly qualified teachers who are Candidates or Doctors of Technical Sciences do their best to teach future specialists. Using modern material and technical base,  specialized laboratories and equipment, they make a significant contribution to the development of schools of thought and to training of students. Currently, there are two schools of thought at the Faculty of Technical Service of Agroindustrial Complexes. There is a students' design studio where students, teachers and designers of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Omsk experimental plant" develop engineering documentation for new agricultural machinery products.

Bachelor students and first-year master students take part in scientific research activities, conferences, and international competitions.

A lot of attention is paid to developing students' practical skills. Students pass practical trainings and internship after their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year at Omsk SAU. The practical training is carried out at the leading agricultural enterprises of the Omsk region, and on service stations.

Teachers and students actively participate in the social life of the Faculty of Technical Service of Agroindustrial Complexes and the university.

Currently, training is being conducted in the following areas:
