Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
The Veterinary Faculty was founded at Omsk Agricultural Institute on November 04th, 1918. Since then, the faculty has produced 20 413 veterinarians and 285 high-level veterinary experts. The faculty plays a vital role in the region in terms of the level of graduates' professionalism. Also, the faculty's staff and its material and technical base look decent comparing to those at other agrarian universities and faculties in Siberia and in the Far East.
Currently, there are 18 PhDs (34%) and 31 Candidates of Science (58.5%) working at the departments of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The Institute has a Center for Veterinary Medicine, where faculty teachers treat sick small animals, and students learn methods of diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
The Faculty's campus has everything students need for comfortable living and recreation. The sports and recreation complex has gyms and a swimming pool.
