DEULA-Nienburg is a modern educational center located in Germany. Since 1962, DEULA has been deepening knowledge of the broad range of agricultural specialists. DEULA-Nienburg cooperates with a number of agrarian universities around the world, giving their students an opportunity to pass internships on German farms in South Saxony.

Program terms and conditions:

  • The internship lasts from 4.5 to 12 months (usually from May to the end of September)
  • Participants live on farms together with farmers' families.
  • On the first week, students pass short introductory course with seminars. After that, they go to different farms in the region.
  • During their practical training, students are expected to make records of what they do and what they learn. In the end of the internship, they should show their records and pass final exam to demonstrate the skills obtained during practical training.
  • Each participant is assigned a Russian-speaking supervisor, and DEULA representatives also visit the participants periodically to make sure they are all right.

After the internship finishes, DEULA can organize free trips across Germany for participants.

After passing the exam, participants are given internationally recognized certificates. These certificates are appreciated by the leading manufacturers of agricultural products: DeLaval, Krone, Grimme, Alta, Amazone, and others.

Participating students must meet the selection criteria:

  • university students who are at least at the 3rd year of study
  • age 18-35 years
  • basic knowledge of German or good knowledge of English
  • high motivation and working ability (willingness to work up to 55 hours a week).
  • driver's license to drive tractors and cars (it is important as German farms are well-mechanized)

Financing

Students pay only for getting Visa and air ticket to Hanover. Everything else is covered by organizers.

There is a monthly scholarship of 300 euros. Students get free accommodation, food and good medical insurance.
