Scientific and Methodical Electronic Journal

Scientific and Methodical Electronic Journal of Omsk SAU is an official online media. The founder of the journal is Omsk State Agrarian University named after P. A. Stolypin.

The journal is assigned the international code ISSN 2413-4066. The journal has a certificate of registration No. ФС77-67687 issued by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.

The journal is included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). The two-year impact factor of RSCI is 0.303. Also, the issues of Scientific and Methodical Electronic Journal of Omsk SAU are presented in the CyberLeninka Scientific Electronic Library.

Instructions for authors

Guidelines for authors on preparation and submission of articles

The author(s) when submitting an article to the Editorial Board should provide the following documents:

  • a review of the article by either a Candidate or a Doctor of Sciences in the corresponding subject area;
  • a cover letter;
  • information about the author(s);
  • the manuscript that meets the requirements described below.

A volume of the manuscript should be within the range of 3 to 20 pages. The article as well as the documents should be sent to e-journal@omgau.org

Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word 2003 format in a file having the extension *.doc.

Manuscripts formatting requirements

Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word for Windows. Page layout: all margins – 2 cm, font – Times New Roman, size – 14 pt; intervals – 1.5; paragraph indent – 1 cm; text alignment – justified.

Manuscript must have a UDC code.

The structure of the paper:

  1. UDC code.
  2. Information about authors:
    first line: author’s name (bold type); 
    second line: academic degree or position (italics)    
    third line: organization, city (italics);
    fourth line: e-mail.
  3. Title (bold type, centered).
  4. Abstract.
  5. Keywords (4–8 words separated by commas).
  6. The basic text of the manuscript 3-20 pages (including tabels, excluding figures and references).
  7. References.

Information about the authors in English. Note that the quality of translation should be adequate otherwise the manuscript may be rejected.

Citations and abbreviations:

  • notation conventions and abbreviations should be first given in full (no abbreviations in both title and abstract!);
  • every cited work should be included into the references list;
  • references list must not include any works, which are not cited in the text;
  • references list should be alphabetized;
  • reference numbers in the text should be in brackets.

Figures and tables:

  • all the images should be in JPG format;
  • figures are placed in the text next to the paragraph they are mentioned in;
  • figures should be subscribed and continuously numbered;
  • all the formulas should be in MDCT format;
  • tables width should not exceed the width of the page;
  • tables should be titled and continuously numbered;
  • tables should be typed in Times New Roman font, size 10.

Articles acceptance procedure

In Scientific and Methodical Electronic Journal of Omsk SAU the following procedure for accepting articles for publication is established:

  1. Authors submitting their articles to be published in the journal are to provide a review written by either a Candidate or a Doctor of Sciences in the corresponding subject area. Authors should e-mail their articles, scans of reviews and supporting documents to e-journal@omgau.org.
  2. Articles are accepted for consideration by members of the Editorial Board for publication in the current issue no later than 3 weeks before the issue. Articles submitted later than this deadline are considered for publication in the next issue.
  3. All the submitted articles are examined with the use of Antiplagiat System to prove there is no plagiarism in them (www.antiplagiat.ru). Provided that the uniqueness of the article is 60 percent or more, the article is accepted for consideration by the Editorial Board. Otherwise, the article is returned to the author for further revision.
  4. An article that meets the requirements of uniqueness is sent for blind review to one of the members of the Editorial Board, who specializes in the subject matter of the article. Reviewing the article takes two weeks from the date the article was received by the editor.
  5. If the review is positive the article is accepted for publication. If the article was rejected the author may resubmit it for review, provided that all the comments indicated in the review are corrected.
